Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished and not under review or for publication in another journal or scientific event.
  • Text files for submission are in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format and do not exceed 2MB.
  • Where available, DOI for the references has been provided.
  • The text is in A4 format, Calibri font, size 11, 1.5 spacing, justified; and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the American medical Association (AMA) stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Paper content submitted to the Journal must not contain any data identifying the authors, and all the Blind Peer Review instructions must be respected.
  • There is no conflicts of interest and if there has been any support it is declared in the article.
  • The article respects the ethical procedures relating to the preparation and publication of scientific work and the legislation in force on copyright.
  • The title has a maximum of 15 words.
  • All authors authorize the indexing of the article in databases of national or international networks in which the Journal is or will be indexed.
  • All authors authorize the use of their personal data for the purposes of managing, disseminating and sharing the article with all databases to which the Journal is indexed.

Author Guidelines

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check that their submission complies with all of the items listed below. Submissions that do not comply will be returned to the authors.
- The paper must be original and unpublished, and not under review or under consideration for publication in another journal or scientific event.
- The manuscript submitted to the journal must not contain any data that could identify the authors, and all blind peer review instructions must have been followed.
- There must be no conflicts of interest and, if any support has been received, this must be declared in the article.
- The article must respect the ethical procedures for the preparation and publication of scientific work and the legislation in force on copyright.
- Files for submission must be in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format (not exceeding 2 MB).
- The text must be in A4 format (21cm x 29.7cm), justified, Calibri font, size 11 and 1.5 spacing.
- The title should be no longer than 15 words.
- All direct quotations and paraphrases must follow the most recent edition of the model recommended by the American Medical Association (AMA).
- The text must follow the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in the Instructions to Authors.
- Authors must authorise indexing of the article in databases of national or international networks in which the journal may or will be indexed.
- Authors are responsible for any breach of the principles described above, or of any other principles that are detrimental to the journal and to the principles of rigour of the scientific community.
- Authors must authorise the use of their personal data for the purposes of managing, disseminating and sharing the article with all databases to which the journal is indexed.
