Supplements, Special issues and Conference Material Policy

The Athena Health & Research Journal published also publishes supplements, special issues and conference material. Edition of any publications in these issues strictly follows the procedures set forward for regular isses including:

  • Editor-in-Chief retains responsibility for the edition procedure;

  • Scholarly articles receive the same external peer review as regular articles;

  • Guest editors, if appointed are:

    • invited by the editor-in-chief uppon approval by the editorial board;

    • specifically identified in the issue;

    • follow all obligations and procedures as required for editorial board members;

  • submissions authored or co-authored by guest editors are handled independently by the editorial board;

  • guest-editor-authored papers may never exceed 25% of the special issue.
